Jazmin Burnside and Mya Lewis are best friends. They are also cheerleaders and very excited to be starting seventh grade at Roosevelt Junior High.

Jazmin has a boyfriend, Tre`, who is a star football and basketball player; but there is also a new boy at school this year and she has her eye on him. His name is Chris and he also is a star football and basketball player. Jazmin wonders if it is possible to be in love with two boys at the same time -- what a problem to have!

Mya is interested in Ray. She hopes their feelings will bloom this year.

Jose` is also new to the school. At first he doesn’t know any of the other kids, but he meets Maria and things don’t seem so bad after all.

It is just the second day of the school year, and something terrible has happened.
