Shirley Cole Barker is the mother of three grown children, twin sons and a daughter. After retiring from her job with the Texas Department of Human Services, Shirley lives in Bruceville, Texas, with her husband, James.

Shirley enjoys sewing, working in her flower garden and spending time with her family.
