Brad Fox is transferred to corporate headquarters in Tampa, Florida, where he promptly falls in love with a beautiful, but very married, Italian-American girl fourteen years his junior. She accidentally finds out that he had been living with and engaged to a movie star while in the Navy prior to coming to work with the company, and she’s furious. Her reaction sends him back into the Navy, and the story covers their attempts to get back together. When they do, he builds a very successful company. She falls in with the Hollywood crowd and unintentionally sends him away again. After awhile, she wakes up to reality and searches for him. She finds him, but is it too late?
