My inspiration to write this book came from God’s guidance. I live on the perimeter of a wetland which is teeming with birds and wildlife. After observing the birds over a period of time, I began to see anew how even the smallest of creatures is under the protection of our mighty God as they live and flourish under the shadow of His wings.

I live in the heartland of a magnificent farming community, the Skagit Valley, which is known for its lush and lively farmlands, bird migrations, including a large population of geese and swans, and tulip and iris fields, which attract thousands of visitors yearly. This book is dedicated to our Lord for His hand in creating the beauty and diversity of this area.
