In a place where money, greed, envy and lust constitute the way people live, a mother is forced to raise her son, Diego, and daughter, Maria, against her traditional Cuban ways because of a promise that she made to their father in a Cuban prison. They lived in a Bronx neighborhood where people’s houses got broken into and nobody respected anyone else’s relationships. Diego noticed that his mother was stuck in a dead-end job that barely paid the bills, so he decided to drop out of high school and get involved in the drug game. Maria continued to go to school and attempted to change Diego’s point of views on his newfound life only to discover that it was already too late for him to turn back. Diego was about to unravel a dark and deadly past about his neighborhood that he might not be able to handle.
