Vanishing Children$24.95 Kyra and her parents move to Kenyan, Louisiana, where the voodoo religion was practiced daily, until a group of high-powered men arrived and took over the town. They stole the people’s babies and killed the parents so there would be no one to carry on the religion. The elderly people who were left were forced to move out of town beyond the woods. When Kyra’s friend Sarah vanishes from the fair, some boys from town go out to the old people’s place and accuse them of taking Sarah. Soon they are thrown into some terrifying events. Forbidden to go into the woods or talk to the old people, Kyra defies her parents and goes to the old voodoo women. She is told many secrets her parents have kept from her. Kyra vows to get revenge on the people who abducted the children and took over the town.
