“For me, poetry was a way to heal, a way to vent and to feel free to express myself. It was hard for me to verbalize my feelings because I was never allowed to. Poetry was an instrumental part of my life so I could heal,” Robin tells people. Personally, Robin has been married for seventeen years and has a wonderful son, Steven, who just turned eleven. She and her mother founded a nonprofit organization to help people find assistance in the home by linking them to qualified in-home care providers. Robin continues to educate herself in the health care field and enjoys helping others. Robin is also active in her church and loves to sing in the church choir. Her spiritual life is extremely important to her and to her family. “It is my hope that those who read my poetry will be inspired, and I hope that those who read it will be able to find healing in my words,” Robin expresses.
