Product Description
I owe this book to my high school poetry teacher, Mrs. Erickson. I learned from her how a great poem or story can inspire and uplift the spirit. She also showed me how so many of the great musicians’ song lyrics are just poems with a chorus added. Without a doubt the artist who has inspired me most is Jimi Hendrix. Even if you take away the music, his words were about everything we should strive for in our lives—peace, love, and brotherhood. Some of the poems in this book date back as far as 1980, a time in my life when I had just moved to California. It was a hard time in my life, but it inspired me to write and observe the world and everything around me. When I write I try to touch on every aspect of life, the good and the bad. Because that’s what life is. I hope that when you read this book, it will make you think and feel about the world around us.
