Rebecca C. Smurawa was born and raised in South Eastern Wisconsin, and was educated as a music education major at both UW-Madison and Carthage College. Rebecca is currently a choral director at a middle school, and because she has been an avid reader all her life, she is an advocate of literacy in her students. Though she has been writing poetry most of her life, Rebecca only recently decided to publish her works.
