Before the Breakthrough is a real-life story written by and about a young lady who had to learn many life lessons on her own. The foundation for her life was laid by her great-grandparents who provided for her during some of the most tender moments of her early childhood. In light of the peaceful and serene atmosphere they provided, she had a strong desire to be back in the city where most of her family including her mother lived. The desire became so strong that she did what she felt to do to make it so. That decision as a young girl opened up a doorway to more decisions and many obstacles.

As an unwed, young mother of four, she experienced many high and low moments in life. After reaching what she felt was her lowest point, she began wonder what was the reasoning behind all that was and is her existence. It took one ordeal after the other, over an almost 20- year period to push her to seek purpose in and for her life.
