Growing up on the inner-city streets of Kansas City is Javon Banks, a troubled sixteen-year-old boy who’s headed in the wrong direction in life fast. Carlos, Javon’s older brother, constantly warns Javon to turn his life around, but fails to lead by example as he pushes dope in order to keep his baby brother and their dying mother taken care of.

Things spiral out of control when a random attempt to rob one of the neighborhood’s biggest drug dealers backfires on Javon and sets off a bloody chain of events that tragically bring his older brother’s life to a miserable end.

Full of guilt and feeling like he has nothing else to live for, Javon dives head-first into the dope game. He has every intention to get rich quick, in order to leave the troubles of his haunting ghetto behind him. Using the knowledge that he’d gained from his older brother, Javon transforms into a crack dealer with a vicious crew of gun-toting thugs to back him in the streets. But it is quickly understood that once the streets grab a hold on you, they never let go. Javon’s closest loved ones want him out of “The Game.” But his street family, whom he grows to love just as much, want him to become a kingpin.
