Just as Esau is having his birthday and going from childhood to manhood, Papa goes on a journey and doesn’t return. For his birthday, Esau makes a promise to himself to go and find Papa. In fulfilling this promise, Esau braves all the dangers and embarks on an adventure that will change his life forever.

In an effort to escape the attack of Drew, the hawk, Esau meets Digger and begins an everlasting friendship. Together, they continue on the quest into the strange and uncertain “human” territory. With the help of Lolly the beagle pup, they barely escape the deadly jaws of Kazbah. Ahead lies the answer to the mystery of Papa. With the help of his new friend, Digger, Esau will not stop until he has that answer.
