Searching for Pearly & Other Secrets is the story of a spunky twelve-year-old whose adventurous nature leads her into an encounter of the spirit kind. Bored with her public school’s version of Maryland history, Tamara suddenly finds herself immersed in and intrigued by the personal experiences of a Civil War family, once part of her neighborhood. Not quite sure that anyone will believe her, Tamara keeps the meeting to herself as she goes about trying to assist her new friend in a search for a well-loved, long-lost toy. The spirit’s story holds its own secrets, which can only be disclosed by the discovery of the lost toy.
