When Robert took his own life, it was because his equal was taken away from him. When he goes before God, Robert is asked why he would take his own life? Robert explains that he (God) is a victim of his own creation because he is the most powerful being in the universe. He proposes that God come to Earth as a human without any knowledge of being God. God agrees and becomes Charley, an 18 year old college student. Charley finds successes and tragedies until one day he must make one of the hardest decisions he has ever faced.
