Ten years ago Rob and Marlane decided to cruise the canals of Europe. That wish came true and this is their story about living the dream on the English canals. Starting in the fall in the bucolic hills of the heart of England to the wilderness of the Thames River, they settle in central London for the winter, discovering the myriad delights of the city and its waters. By February of the following year they are off again for Oxford, the city of Tolkien, known for its ?gleaming spires’. Crossing the country from east to west and landing in Bath for a glorious three weeks, they then decide to cross the Bristol Channel estuary to Gloucester and go north to Wales. There are mysterious characters, trolls, and lifelong friends made along the way. Come traveling with them on England’s beautiful inland waters.
