A senior scientist/engineer becomes concerned that the information being fed to the public as scientific fact is dangerously influenced by the questionable ethics of some scientists and the media. This is especially true of the global warming “crisis.” He crusades to rectify the problem. The stress of the crusade, his deteriorating marriage, and the politics of his workplace bring on a heart attack. He survives but with a troubling change in his perception of reality.

The crusade leads him to involvement in an exciting investigation into possible international plots behind the global warming issue. His personal problems become enmeshed with the investigation and his distress deepens. He searches for help and finds it in a mysterious person.
