Product Description
The story begins with Melissa, a seventeen-year-old high school senior, showing early signs of schizophrenia. When her application for a position on the school literary magazine staff is rejected, the disease intensifies. Because of a teenage crush, together with hallucinations featuring haunting voices, she begins stalking a boy from school by writing bizarre letters and making threatening phone calls. Her obsession with the classmate and an unhealthy interest in satanic cults add to her hysteria. She creates problems with her family and the boy’s mother, as well as others in the school and community. Finally, she forces a frightening life-or-death situation.
