Along the eastern coast, embedded in the Golden Isles, lies the small city of St. Isles. Masked by its beauty and rich southern heritage, St. Isles is strongly influenced by a sisterhood controlled by the city’s manipulative upperclass debutantes. St. Isles is also the home of a historic garden that was designed and built long ago by a skilled architect and early settler. The garden, once immaculately kept, is now only a fond memory of Lanie Thomas’ and Marcus Mills’ childhood. After a horrible automobile accident that leaves Lanie paralyzed, she discovers the garden’s secret, and in turn, passes the secret on to her only true friend, Marcus Mills. After a cruel joke is played, he enters the garden and unleashes a wrath of fury that will change St. Isles forever.
