People in a small town on the eastern plains of Colorado take desperate action to break out of the chilly chains of captivity holding them hostage during a blizzard. As the harsh hands of nature grip them, murder unfolds in the tiny town of Arriba, Colorado, population 220. A father reacts to his bondage by ignoring sound advice to stay put until the weather breaks. He sets out with his family to reach his destination in spite of the storm. Marooned motorists find themselves in a whiteout of danger and intrigue when clowning around turns deadly.
