Product Description
Jimmy Carson and Joe Lyons met while flying for the Loyalists during the Spanish Civil War. After the Loyalists’ surrender, they flew freight all over Europe. In 1939, they flew for the Finns during the Russo-Finnish War. When the Finns surrendered, they flew to Gibraltar where they were imprisoned. President Roosevelt intervened and the pilots were released to fly for the British. After the war, they went their separate ways. In 1961, Lyons was killed when he was shot down at the Bay of Pigs. Unwilling to admit Americans were involved, the CIA devised an elaborate cover story that Carson doesn't believe. Years later, he uncovered information that led him to believe Lyons was involved in the Bay of Pigs. Carson decided to investigate and discovered that Castro had Lyons' body frozen to prove Americans participated in the Bay of Pigs.
