Life Under the Big Top is truly a collection of poetry from a stressed-out father of seven. While sitting at his office desk on the morning of September 11, 2001, Scott agonized over the radio reports of the terrorist tragedy unfolding. As he jotted down his thoughts and fears, those accounts opened up the door to his love for creative writing. Although many of Scott’s poems tend to end up as rhyming short stories, they touch on various subjects such as parenting, sports, loneliness, suicide, and of course…love. Some of his poems will make you laugh, some will make you cry. But it is the author’s hope that all will touch the reader in one way or another.
