Poetic Elixir is a mixture of poetry and fiction based on love. Whether love brings pain and sorrow or joy and jubilation, it is a pivotal aspect of all human relationships. Sometimes, it can be difficult to express your true feelings. However, once you are given the opportunity to view the full scope of a situation, usually after the fact, many different scenarios come to mind. The writings in Poetic Elixir are an attempt to capture the true feelings brought on by these situations. Though most of the poetry in Poetic Elixir is based on events which occurred in my life, some of the poems are fictional writings which were experienced vicariously through my imagination. I hope you will enjoy Poetic Elixir. Remember that love, while often times painful, frustrating, and humiliating, can also be beautiful, enriching, and life altering.
