Product Description
Nichole Smith Collins was born in 1978 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and raised in a middle-class subdivision of North Little Rock. She graduated from NLRHS in 1996 and attended UALR on a full academic scholarship from 1996–1998. She moved to Florida in 2001 to attend the University of Tampa. She currently resides in Ormond Beach, Florida, with her husband of two years, Ryan.
Coming from a Southern family and environment, she was raised with morals, values, faith in God and a down-home attitude, true to Southern form. However, tough times with family and love can bring even the most normally balanced individuals down to the lowest of lows, and that is what happened to this Southern girl. Her poetry is so real that you feel the pain as if it were your own. This book shows you that whatever trials and tribulations you may go through in life, in the end, you’ll see there was a reason for all the pain. No matter your age, you will leave reading this book feeling like she put your pain into words—words that you couldn’t express, but she could. Adolescent Is My Name is a collection of modern poetry that everyone should read.
