My wife has always enjoyed my poetry; while in the Navy, and on my fifth deployment to Afghanistan and Pakistan, she told me that she was missing me and asked if I would write her a new poem. I set out to write her a poem that would tell a story of how much I loved her and how much she meant to me; I never realized that it would one day become a book. It is a personal depiction of the feelings I have in my heart and an ode to my beautiful wife Sarah.
