I hold Anglicanism in the highest regard as an objectively intellectual and culturally excellent Church. The hallmark of Anglicanism is what we affectionately refer to as “the three-legged stool” of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. If any one leg gets greater or lesser than the others, we cannot confidently stand upon it as Christian people. The present American Province leadership has attempted to make the leg of Reason greater than the Scripture and Tradition and has fallen into grave error by attempting to reinforce it with subjective experience. This does not diminish the solid and glorious ways of Anglicanism as it strives to bring the Gospel truth to all God’s people in the most precise and beautiful way possible. This primer intends to help restore our American focus on the established teachings of Anglicanism as every committed Anglican ought.
