Product Description
Crucible of Passive Endurance is a biographical study of the American missionary pioneer, Adoniram Judson. Judson was the first white American missionary to travel to another country to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people. Judson’s courage and unfailing faith took him to Burma, where he labored for six years before he witnessed his first convert to Christianity. He translated the New Testament into the Burman language so as to better teach and preach. He dealt with many sad events that would have caused lesser men to give up their calling and go back to the comfort of their homeland, but not Judson. Not only was he sent to death prison where he lived with others like animals placed into cages, but he also lost most of his family. This is a story of one man who trusted God at all costs and eventually made the supreme sacrifice for his beliefs.
