Newly hired agent, Gin Robbisson of the Shadow League, travels to Hawaii in search of a missing colleague and the ones responsible for the sinking of a U.S. ship that was being used in a series of ballistic missile tests in the Pacific. Picking up on the last lead of Amanda Morgan (the missing agent) and after having come across several suspicious locals—all hellbent on creating global conflict—Robbisson discovers a plot for revenge against the United States, which, if successfully carried out, will pit the U.S. against China in a possible third world war—a war which the international community would suspect the United States government of having provoked. Fighting a race against time, Robbisson must use everything and everyone he can in order to save not only himself, but also the rest of the world as we know it.
