In 1975, I was born during the spring solstice in Colorado. I had a normal childhood with a fairly strict, religious family. From an early age, I loved nature and anything outdoors.

After graduating high school, I joined the military. I was stationed all around the world. I had many great assignments; most I can discuss, some I can’t. I was anywhere from Wyoming to the Middle East (twice), from Korea to Iceland.

My poetry is centered on my experiences—from trying to find a religious path, to dealing with less-than-effective supervisors; from being a lovesick, hopeless romantic juggling local and long-distance relationships, to blurring the edge of morality and duty; from getting lost in nature and its wonder to getting lost in the vast unexplored territory of my mind.
