Also, kids like her who have parents that are disabled as her mother is, struggle with the stares and comments people may say. Jeanettie's mommy, Charlotte went through the same struggles growing up, having the disability of Cerebral Palsy. She was teased, called names and much more as a child, and sometimes still as an adult.

Jeanettie was named after Charlotte's mother whose name is Jeanette. Charlotte learned how to handle these situation's Jeanettie is experiencing from those she experienced in her childhood. Nearly all of Charlotte's life, Grandma Jeanette has fought for her through public schools, doctors and much more! Jeanettie's mommy is now fighting for those same things for her daughter. Jeanettie's daddy, Frank and brother, Sam are also learning how to fight for those same beliefs. It is Jeanettie's family's hope that someday everyone will treat each other equally and that the disabled will not be labeled as retard, cripple, dummy, or even noticed that a disability exists. The truth is that whether you're disabled or not, everyone should be treated the same.
