Hillary Faith has been writing poetry since she was seventeen, inspired by her first love/heartbreak experience. She found that poetry was the most comforting and sincere way to express what she was going through, and thereafter began to use it as an outlet for all of life’s ups and downs. Driven by the works of past and present poets such as Sylvia Plath, Rumi, William Shakespeare, Jewel, and Louise Glück, Hillary, now twenty-three, felt it was important for Wordlove to be a collective group of poems from her younger days as well as now. Wordlove is a diary of sorts, a record of a young woman’s thoughts, opinions, love and soul. Inside is a path of self-discovery represented in a passionate, unapologetic voice.
