This story was inspired by the life Deb-b lived. Growing up she never felt like she belonged or was good enough. Others inflicted these messages on her. She hung onto these messages. They became her beliefs and feelings about herself. She did whatever she could to feel better, to be accepted. Instead, that all made her feel worse, pushed people away, and she became angry and hopeless. She got involved in a twelve-step program, which helped. Her life really started changing when her parents died. She lost them but found Deb-b. Today, she continues living her life with the support of twelve-step program and her strong belief in God. She enjoys being with family and friends, music, writing, dancing, and singing. She has an adult son named Shane and Kisses, her cat that has been with her for seventeen years. She says life is a journey; our world is full of hate and ugly but there is also so much beauty. Life is about learning and sharing our lessons with others.
