"I am 77 Years old, have been married for 57 of those years to the same man; we have five children, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandkids, so I have spent alot of time making up stories and telling stories to children of all ages, also reading story books to them.
While looking at the sky one night one of my grandchildren asked me about the moon: Why the moon is cold & pale and has no light of its own is a story I make up to tell her so she world go to sleep: told in a way children would relate to: not scientific:
That long time ago there was nothing but the moon in the sky and water on the earth; the moon fell in love with its reflection on a lake, the moon was jealous of the rain clouds that were friends of the lake and would'nt let them near, the beautiful lake disappeared; the moon got sad & blue and waned away to be by its self and not shine bright any more or love anything; it just wanders around the night sky & watches everything else fall in love by what it thinks is it's light."
