"When I fist began to sit down and write this book, I was full of hate and anger. I didn't know what direction that I was going in but just started writing and the book started to come together. I was noticing a change in myself that I really couldn't explain; it was almost like this project was therapy. My life was in turmoil from trying to build a house and we had to rent this small apartment because I couldn't afford the expense of building a new house and living in the old house. So we had to sell it in the worst possible market and rent an apartment for a year. You will notice that in the beginning of the book I was upset and full of anger, that was a statement of how I felt at the at the time of writing, but as the months dragged on, and I was still going through my ordeal, I started to find my way. Instead of making excuses and blaming other people, I started to realize that this was just a rough period in my life and that things would get better (it just took longer than expected).

I had a lot of worries on my mind during this whole ordeal, when your financially strapped and things don't seem to look good, there is a way to deal with it; you just have to let things transpire, instead of placing blame, or self pity. During the course of writing this book I realized that things happen for a reason and you might not know the reason until things transpire. For every negative, there is going to be a positive, if you don't fight it and relax, and enjoy the ride. Even when things look bleak, there will be a reason for it to happen; you just have to pay attention to see what it is later on.

We, as a family, went through a lot during the last 3-4 years and I can say that as the years go by, it makes you stronger as a family to bond and come together. I have grown in those years and I am still slowly finding my way. I have come to believe that life is about trials and tribulations. Everything is an experience and a matter of choice in what direction that one will take."
