Product Description
A father's fight for survival while being swept down a raging creek of white water in the high country of Colorado in front of his sons on a beautiful spring day. I was born in the late 30's in the small farming community of Shelbina, Missouri, the 2nd of four boys and my earliest years were spent there while my father joined the US Army and served in WW II as a cook at a fort in Arkansas. After the war my family moved to Hunnewell, Missouri where I attended 1st grade and ultimately graduated from the 8th grade in May 1953, with the best kids in the world. I went to high school in Overland, Missouri at Ritenour Senior High School graduating in 1957. I went one year of college at the University of Missouri at Rolla, Rolla, Missouri. I earned my first bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, Nebraska and attended several schools thereafter across the United States and Asia while serving my country. After that school I worked at Navco, Inc. 11101 Natural Bridge, Bridgeton, Missouri where I met and married my first wife, and during this tenure I was drafted into the US Army in February 1962 and served my country for 23 years retiring in January 1985. In March 1985 I went to Work for Rockwell International, Dallas, Texas as a Senior Security Administrator and stayed there until March 1987 when I went to work at Texas Instruments, Lewisville, Texas, as Manager, Information Security, and in 1995 was transferred to McKinney, Texas, when Raytheon bought the Defense Systems Electronic Group from Texas Instruments and ultimately retiring again in October 1997. I formed the ROMEO's, (Retired Old Men Eating Out) who ""meet"" the last Friday of every month for coffee/breakfast at Poor Richards Restaurant, Plano, Texas, and another group of retirees who meet daily, save Sunday, for the same purpose, and place, and I spend a great deal of my spare time consulting, writing, and spending quality time with myself and family.
