Percy Shelley once stated, “Poetry is a mirror which makes beautiful that which is distorted.” Through this collection of poetry I attempted to wipe away the fabricated truths and telltale lies that society attempts to dump upon us from the day we are born. I embrace and discuss dozens of commonplace, commonly held doctrines and supposed truths, from the belief that material wealth will bring happiness to the idea that humanity knows and will know all. I have also included within this industrious package recognition to the men and women of the armed forces, and a tribute to other patriots and patrons.
