Jada Marshall has experienced periods of blankness since early childhood. Neither her family or her friends notice that Jada is living two different lives, switching from one personality to another with smooth transition. Even she does not know when it will happen. She only realizes it when she suddenly wakes to know she has been "gone".

Doctors want to experiment to help her find out what is happening, but she feels they are using her as a Guinea Pig. She decides to search for answers in her own way.

Carol Smiles likes to write in a variety of genres to keep her mind sharp.
She has written poetry, children's books, regency stories, westerns, and sci-fi
She lives and writes in northern CA, drawing her inspiration from having worked as a traveling nurse/caregiver until recently retiring.
