Desert Deception takes place in the high desert of western Nevada. Through a chance meeting in Wanda’s Diner, Donald Murphy, a Viet Nam era ex-Green Beret, is introduced to a newly wed couple, Bud and Mary Jo Miller, headed to Las Vegas for their honeymoon.

As the trio are leaving the diner, Bud shows Donald his fully restored 1957 Chevy. Donald can’t believe how beautiful this car is. They say their good-byes and head their separate ways. Donald in his Ford Fairlane, the kids in the classic Chevy.

Having stayed overnight Donald sees the Chevy outside a very seedy biker bar. When he goes over to check on his new friends, they are nowhere to be found. Two guys from the bar hop into the Chevy and take off.

With Wanda’s help and the help of an old army buddy, Colonel Halloway, the search for the missing couple begins.
