A young Flighter, Julip, is merely helping her parents on a flying mission to bring back ritanga fruit for their Freedom Day celebration when a nasty storm blows them into the dreaded Land of the Burrowers. With her father’s wing injured, Julip seeks help in a land where the inhabitants are so evil they reportedly eat their own young. From the moment she is discovered by a family of Burrowers, Julip finds herself caught in the middle of a series of adventures that even she would never have believed. Besides getting caught in the middle of a Flighter-Burrower war, becoming trapped inside a mountain, and being tried for treason, Julip stumbles onto a deeper, more sinister plot by the Dark One and his forces to take over Harmony Island. Julip doesn’t realize it yet, but she has become the chosen one to help lead the citizens of Harmony Island when the very existence of the island is in jeopardy of total destruction.
