This book is a compilation of my work. These poems were not chosen for this book because they were my best, but because they best represent my metamorphosis as a poet. But then again, as I began to sort them out I thought to arrange them in no absolute order, but as random as I found them. For truly, that is as I wrote them, with no real sense of purpose, but seeking rather to portend the only true muse, my own daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne, which runs through them all.
