Product Description
Will reflects on his life during the mid-eighties in Austria, shifting to the 1940s and Europe in World War II. As an engineer, Will enjoys life in the towns behind the frontlines. He meets Hanna, a young Austrian girl, and they fall madly in love. She returns to Vienna for a family emergency and he is transferred to the frontline. Will is wounded by a mortar and, through an error, Hanna gets word he has been killed. Will is sent home to recover and after the war returns to find she has died. They each go on with their lives, never forgetting each other. Twenty years later he goes to Europe, where they rediscover one another. They immediately set about to start where they left off. They buy a small hotel, which has a liquid treasure. Their family grows up, with trials and tribulations. Their close friends intertwine throughout their relationship.
