The war began as Lucifer the Guardian Cherub becomes jealous of Gods plan to create man. His Jealousy leads him into open rebellion and war against God. He is defeated and cast down to a dark formless earth.
The battle renews as God forms and fashions the earth and the universe to support his beloved new creation. He then creates man from that earth, and breathes his spirit into him and places the man into lordship of the earth. Satan attacks man causing him to sin against God, and man falls and loses dominion of the earth spiritually.
The battle continues as God plans for the redemption of man and the ultimate destruction of Satan.
Throughout all of human history, the devil has been trying to destroy man to keep him from God. God wants man to believe and trust in him as he reveals himself, and his everlasting love for man.
God knows there is only one way for man to come back into right standing with him; that would be the shedding of innocent blood as sacrifice, for the sins of man.
There is only one that would prove worthy of the task, God himself in the form of man.
Why would God go through all the trouble in defeating Satan for the redemption of man?
