This is the second book of poems by Hollis Davis. His first book, Coffee Shop Poems with Cream, was well received. A survey of fifty people showed the eclectic appeal of the book, with thirty-three different favorites selected from the fifty poems.

The title for this book was a result of an observation of the first book: “It” was used fifty-five times. Mr. Davis decided that the work was a representation of how he sees the world. Therefore the title As I See It was selected for his second book. Hopefully the “its” in this book, as “it” did in the first book, will refer to an “it” that you have observed also. It represents the existence of things in life but not always a location or a concept. The context and the reader’s experience of “it” will bring a delight or new insight with each poem.
