Product Description
Adolf & Hermann is a non-fiction novel about the early life and times of Adolf Hitler and Hermann Goering, the two men who would eventually become the leaders of the German Third Reich. Part 1 of the story begins in 1900, when Hitler was 12 years old and Goring was 8, and concerns the vicissitudes of their childhoods. Part 2 concerns their exploits in World War I, with Goring serving as an ace fighter pilot over the Western Front, while Hitler served as a lance corporal in an infantry division. Part 3 concerns the first time that both men meet each other and follows them as they plot the overthrow of the German government. The book ends in 1923 — the year that Hitler, Goring, and their Nazi Storm Troopers attempt to overthrow the government in the ill-fated Munich Putsch. This action resulted in Goring being injured and Hitler being imprisoned. While in prison at Landsberg, Hitler wrote Mein Kampf, which became the standard work of Nazi political philosophy.
