On the surface, Kiesha Walker is a typical teenage girl. She hangs with a group of girls she calls her “crew,” has a crush, Derek Langley, and is even one of the best dancers around, but deep inside, past her quietness, lurks a pressing secret. Kiesha is repeatedly molested by her mother’s husband, Jeff Harrison. On top of that, her mother, Nadeen Harrison, deals with abuse of her own while battling childhood issues that blind her from seeing what is going on with her daughter. Kiesha attempts to hold it together in public, all the while crumbling within and questioning God. Conflict arises when Kiesha and her cousin Cathleen decide to get her life back. Will Kiesha ever get her childhood returned to her? Will the pain ever subside and her horrors be laid to rest? And what about her relationship with God? Will she ever stop questioning Him? As the road to her deliverance begins, Kiesha learns some things about herself, her mother and God that will affect her for the rest of her life.
