Product Description
In November 1967, two young men meet in Vietnam. They become friends. During the battle of Dak To, one saves another with a machete and is later awarded a Distinguished Service Cross and commissioned a 2nd lieutenant. After returning home, the two meet on Sapelo Island, Georgia, and become involved in a love triangle.

Prior to the above events, we are introduced to Sapelo Island and its people; spend a winter on a Montana ranch; go through the Korean War; share portions of family life in Georgia, North Carolina and Montana; portray Army life, including Basic, Advanced Infantry Training and the U.S. Army’s Airborne Course; and include factual histories of the Korean and Vietnam Wars interspersed with fiction.

Mild sex and strong language is prevalent throughout the story.
