There is a plethora of information on the topic of “aging.” The available information is too numerous and complex for the average grassroots person to comprehend or understand. This book will address the everyday struggles of a caregiver and will provide simple solutions that can make life easier.

Geriatrics, aging, Alzheimer’s disease and long-term insurance are words we don’t think about when we are young, or when our parents are vibrant, sharp, and even assist us in our lives. I refer to the whole situation as a “looming storm” or a “hurricane.”

Because we are alive and have families, the question is “when” and not “if.” As the hurricane season approaches, we are encouraged to prepare now. Have a plan. Don’t wait until the last moment. I use this same approach in dealing with aging parents.
