I am Carrie Lynn Beer. I was born in Germany in 1965. My dad was in the military. I come from the smallest city of the United states of America, which is Parker City, Pa., located about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pa. I had many struggles through the years and my relationship with God was put on the back burner for awhile, then in ’92 I turned my alcohol problem over to God. By the Grace of God I almost have 12 years clean time. In July ’93 I also committed myself to Clarion Psychiatric Hospital for treatment of depression. I am not ashamed to share my story. It was God who told me to go get help. He guided me the right way. When I came out of the hospital I felt good knowing what my problem was and changed my CB handle to LadyHawk. I felt like I was walking with God in my heart as a new person looking for a place to get closer to God. I moved south in ’95 so my son could meet his real dad, but that relationship was not Christ-based so it did not last. I am still tight with Jesus in my heart. Nobody is going to come between my relationship with God as my father—the true meaning of LOVE. Now I am remarried to a very wonderful man who is following the Lord also, Scott Edward Atkins.
