The summer seemed to be wasted by death and healing. There were new opportunities for funerals every day. The bombs that exploded on May 21st killed over eighty-five high school students and forty-seven elementary school students.

Many of the students died from their injuries last summer. My best friend, Toby, died shortly after he was found. Many other students were as badly injured as I was. Many of my friends are still suffering from depression, loss, and anxiety.
