I have always loved children and have been amazed by their ability to find wonder in everything they see. They seem to feel a special connection with things that we somehow lose in that hazy period of entering adulthood that lasts for the rest of our lives. I came to write about the moon because I feel most at home with the night and found that after a hot summer’s day there was no greater relief than dancing beneath the magical light of the moon with my toddler nephew, who found wonder and delight in howling at the moon just past twilight.
