Mike Sullivan has been on the way to the bottom for some time when his best friend and watch commander Pat O?Malley tells him he needs to get away from the Philadelphia Police force for a while. Pat suggests that Mike take a temporary job training new Iraqi police officers in Baghdad. Mike accepts, and once in Baghdad finds that the work is helping him get back on his feet. With a new outlook on life, Mike starts to enjoy himself until one night he is kidnapped off the streets of Baghdad and held hostage by a terrorist madman who dreams of blowing up Baghdad and everyone in it with a nuclear bomb. Mike escapes and with the help of a beautiful Iraqi doctor, with whom he has fallen in love, he must run for his life in an attempt to stop the bomb before the terrorist?s killers catch him.
